Prayer Rhythm is a Christian prayer organization app operated by Emily K’s Place (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

We understand that prayer requests and related notes may contain deeply personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information Prayer Rhythm collects, how it is used and stored, the services involved in operating the app, and the choices available to you.

Information You Provide

When you use Prayer Rhythm, you may choose to provide information including:

• Prayer subjects, such as people, families, groups, churches, ministries, organizations, places, or causes
• Prayer requests and private notes
• Prayer areas and categories
• Updates, praises, answers, encouragements, and other prayer-history entries
• Follow-up notes and dates
• Prayer schedules and recurrence preferences
• Scripture references and personal Scripture notes
• Quick-capture or inbox entries
• Optional descriptions and externally hosted photo URLs
• App preferences, such as prayer days, desired prayer load, session length, theme, reminder times, and weekly review settings

Prayer Rhythm may also store information about your use of prayer features, such as when a prayer was marked as prayed, prayer-session activity, and related timestamps.

Because prayer requests may include information about other people, please use care when entering personal information about others.

Account and Authentication Information

Prayer Rhythm uses Clerk to provide account authentication and session management.

Depending on the sign-in methods you choose, Clerk may process information such as:

• Email address
• Account identifiers
• Login and verification information
• Information associated with supported social sign-in providers

Prayer Rhythm uses a Clerk user identifier to associate your Prayer Rhythm data with your authenticated account.

How We Use Information

We use information provided through Prayer Rhythm to:

• Save and synchronize your prayer information
• Generate your daily prayer rhythm
• Organize people, groups, requests, schedules, and prayer histories
• Provide Prayer Session and prayer-history features
• Provide reminders and follow-up functionality
• Support offline use and later synchronization
• Allow you to search, export, restore, or delete your prayer information
• Maintain account security and prevent unauthorized access
• Diagnose technical problems and operate the service

Prayer Rhythm does not currently use your prayer content to generate advertisements, build advertising profiles, or train or interact with artificial intelligence models.

Where Your Information Is Stored

Prayer Rhythm stores authenticated app data on server infrastructure used to operate the service.

Prayer data is not stored only on your device. It may be synchronized with Prayer Rhythm’s server so that features such as scheduling, search, history, synchronization, and account access can function.

On supported mobile devices, Prayer Rhythm may also keep account-specific local copies of prayer information and pending changes to support offline use.

Authentication tokens and native offline prayer data use operating-system-supported secure storage where available.

Prayer Rhythm is not an end-to-end encrypted or zero-knowledge service. The Prayer Rhythm service must be able to process your prayer information in order to provide the app’s features.

Offline Storage

Prayer Rhythm may temporarily store local copies of your prayer information on your device so that certain features continue to work when your device is offline.

This may include:

• Prayer subjects and requests
• Prayer schedules
• Today and review information
• Prayer histories and answers
• Active prayer-session information
• Quick-capture entries
• Changes waiting to synchronize

Prayer Rhythm attempts to clear account-specific offline prayer data when you sign out or delete your account.

Notifications

If you choose to enable reminders, Prayer Rhythm may schedule notifications on your device.

Current Prayer Rhythm notifications are designed to use general wording and do not intentionally display specific prayer-request text or the names of people in your prayer list.

Examples may include general reminders such as:

• “A moment for prayer”
• “A gentle weekly review”
• “A quiet follow-up”

Notification delivery and permission settings are also subject to the privacy practices and settings of your device operating system.

You may disable Prayer Rhythm notifications through the app or your device settings.

Third-Party Services

Prayer Rhythm relies on third-party technology providers to operate the app.

These currently include:

Clerk

Clerk provides authentication, identity, and session-management services.

Replit

Replit provides infrastructure used to build, host, operate, and store data for Prayer Rhythm’s application services and database.

Expo

Prayer Rhythm uses Expo technology for mobile-app functionality such as secure device storage, local notifications, file handling, authentication handoffs, app builds, and distribution.

Apple and Device Platform Services

Apple and your device operating system may process information necessary to provide App Store distribution, TestFlight, notifications, device functionality, and operating-system services.

These service providers may process technical, security, or operational information under their own privacy policies and terms.

External Photo URLs

Prayer Rhythm may allow a user to provide a URL for an externally hosted image.

If an external image is displayed, the service hosting that image may receive ordinary network information associated with the image request, such as an IP address and request metadata.

Prayer Rhythm does not currently upload user photos directly as part of this feature.

Artificial Intelligence, Advertising, and Tracking

Prayer Rhythm currently does not integrate:

• AI services for processing prayer content
• Advertising networks
• Targeted advertising services
• Cross-app advertising tracking
• Advertising identifiers
• Third-party product analytics services for analyzing prayer content

Prayer Rhythm does not sell personal information or prayer content and does not use or share prayer content for targeted advertising.

If these practices change in a future version, this Privacy Policy and applicable App Store privacy disclosures will be updated.

Data Sharing

We do not make your prayer list or prayer content publicly available.

Information may be processed by service providers that are necessary to operate Prayer Rhythm, such as the authentication, hosting, mobile-platform, and infrastructure providers described above.

We may also disclose information if required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or a valid governmental request, or where reasonably necessary to protect the security, rights, or integrity of Prayer Rhythm or its users.

Data Export

Prayer Rhythm allows users to create an export of their Prayer Rhythm information.

Exports may contain highly personal information, including:

• Prayer subjects
• Prayer requests
• Notes
• Answers and praises
• Prayer histories
• Follow-ups
• Schedules and preferences

The exported file is currently provided as plaintext JSON and is not password-protected or encrypted by Prayer Rhythm.

If you choose to share an export using your device’s sharing interface, the service or application you select will receive the exported file at your direction.

Please store and share exported files carefully.

Data Retention

Prayer Rhythm generally retains active account information and prayer data for as long as your account and the relevant records remain active, unless you choose to delete them or deletion is otherwise required.

Archiving a prayer subject, category, request, or prayer area does not permanently delete that information.

Technical, security, infrastructure, and service-provider records may be retained according to legitimate operational requirements and the retention practices of the applicable service providers.

Deleting Your Data or Account

Prayer Rhythm provides account and data-deletion controls within the app.

When you request full account deletion, Prayer Rhythm is designed to:

• Permanently delete your active Prayer Rhythm prayer data
• Delete your settings, prayer history, sessions, follow-ups, and related user-created app records
• Request deletion of the associated Clerk authentication identity
• Clear Prayer Rhythm offline prayer data from the device where practical
• Cancel locally scheduled Prayer Rhythm reminders where practical

Prayer Rhythm may retain a limited technical deletion record containing an account identifier and deletion timestamp to prevent delayed or stale requests from recreating previously deleted prayer data.

This technical record does not contain your prayer requests or prayer notes.

Because Prayer Rhythm relies on infrastructure and service providers, some operational records, backups, or security logs may be retained for limited periods according to applicable technical and legal requirements.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect Prayer Rhythm data and restrict access to authenticated accounts.

The production service uses secure HTTPS connections, authenticated API access, and account-level authorization.

No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Prayer Rhythm should not be described as providing end-to-end encrypted or zero-knowledge storage.

Children’s Privacy

Prayer Rhythm is not directed specifically toward children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal information directly from children under 13.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through Prayer Rhythm in a manner that should be removed, please contact us.

Your Choices

You may:

• Edit or remove prayer information within the app
• Disable notifications
• Archive and restore supported prayer records
• Export your Prayer Rhythm data
• Delete your Prayer Rhythm account and associated prayer data
